Kenmore, Washington Community Information
Known by many as “Kenmore by the Lake,” Kenmore is situated on the northernmost shores of Lake Washington. Along with many waterside parks, Kenmore is the home to the nation’s largest seaplane-only commercial facility, Bastyr University and St. Edward Park. With a population of approximately 18,600, Kenmore has a strong economic core that includes an auction center, special trade contracting and durable goods. Since 2000, developers have focused on converting farmland into high-end housing in the northern portion of the city. In addition, the city has a full-scale revitalization effort in place to create a more pedestrian-friendly, multi-use retail and residential city center.
