Officially incorporated in 1983, the town of Woodinville, Washington was originally settled in 1870 as a logging community. With a population just over 9,000, Woodinville is considered a suburb of Seattle. Its economy consists of a mix of light industrial, retail, and tourism. It is known for its local wineries, such as the Columbia and Chateau St. Michelle; its month-long Woodinville Lights Festival in December; Harvest Happening; and the Great Pumpkin Hunt.
